Once they have started an event, all players in the Convoy will be taken to that Event, no matter how far away they are on the map. Whoever sends the invites will be the leader of the Convoy, and the only person who can start events. This will bring up the Xbox gaming bar, and players can choose who to invite from their Microsoft friend list. To keep it between friends, choose "Invite Only". To send a Convoy invite to friends, bring up the pause menu, and then press Y on Xbox consoles, and select "Create a Convoy". So, invites will appear as a notification, and players can hold down the middle Xbox button on consoles to accept the Convoy invite, or open the Game Bar on PC and accept the invite. This uses the Xbox/Microsoft friend system, even on Steam. However, PR stunts like Drift Zones in Forza Horizon 5 must be completed solo.
After completing the opening showcase and the next two events, players can invite friends to their Convoy, or be invited to one. This is basically Forza's version of creating a party. Here are the steps to enable or disable crossplay on Xbox.To participate in Events, map exploration, and other multiplayer modes together, friends must first be a part of the same Convoy. Or if you are annoyed by competitive PC players then you can disable it. If you are unable to play with your PC friends then there is a high chance you haven’t enabled crossplay on your console. Forza Horizon 5 completely supports crossplay which means you can play it on your PC with your friends who might have Xbox One, Xbox Series S, or Xbox Series X consoles. Although the Steam version isn’t completely bad as you can still play with your Xbox friends. But if you happen to purchase the Steam version then you can’t play on Xbox. You can play and retain progress on any platform. If you have the game through the Game pass or on your Xbox app no worries. And that catch comes when you purchase the game on Steam. Yes, it is cross-platform but with a catch.
